The water wiggler's unique agitator action creates continuous ripples in water, preventing mosquitos from laying eggs in bird baths.  Moving water also attracts 10x more birds than stagnant water.

Requires no electricity, is easy to install with no wiring or plumbing, and has silent operation.  Runs solely on a single rechargeable battery pack (included) that is solar powered and should be placed in full sun for best results.  Safe for use with heated bird baths in the winter.

One year manufacturer warranty. Model 8WW.

Dome is made of plastic and is 5" in diameter by 2.5" tall. Legs are metal and add an additional ~2.5" to the overall product.  Water level should be kept at least 0.25" below the plastic base of the dome.

Such a Fun Product

I have only used plug in motion products for my bird bath so far but have been looking at solar units to see how they work. I tried one a couple of months ago that I saw in a home improvement store. It was $40 and worked as expected for eight days, but after seventeen days, it stopped working even though the product was cleaned and was in direct sunlight daily, for 10.5 hours as directed.
I took a chance on this product because I've been extremely satisfied with everything else I've purchased from Nature Niche; it's been eleven days that I've been using this product and I'm not disappointed. It's definitely attracted a lot more birds, as well as different types and the bath is getting pretty busy causing some skirmishes. I'm going to set up a second bath and I'll purchase another of these wigglers with my next order of other products.

Solar wiggler

Very fun! Love that it is solar. The robins can't take a bath when it is in the birdbath so may rotate days that we use it.

Where is the product made? Is the product flimsy? What about windy days, remove at high winds?

Nature Niche

It's made in China, but is not flimsy. The plastic dome and base are sturdy and the metal legs hold up well--I use this at home and have disassembled for cleaning monthly to more frequently for two growing seasons. It comes with a one year warranty from the manufacturer, too. I think the wiggler sits low enough that wind should not be a concern, unless your bird bath is tippy and might blow over. In that case, yes, don't use when the bird bath might fall over.

will this keep water from freezing at below 0 temps?

Nature Niche

No, this is designed to keep the water moving but has no effect on water temperature.

Is the item called the wiggler just the round metal thing in the middle of the photo? Where is the battery pack? Does it need direct sun to charge? Can it be charged any other way? What are the dimensions of the wiggler? How deep does the bird bath need to be? You need to add lots more information!

Nature Niche

Yes, the wiggler is the dome-shaped object made of plastic with metal legs shown in the center of the bird bath in the picture. Yes, the wiggler needs direct sun to charge, as it is solar powered only. No, it cannot be charged any other way.
Dome is made of plastic and is 5" in diameter by 2.5" tall. Legs are metal and add an additional ~2.5" to the overall product. Water level should be kept at least 0.25" below the plastic base of the dome, so maximum water level is ~2.25" and can be lower, since the floats on the agitator sink as the water level decreases throughout the day.
