Due to a major problem down south yonder in my neck of the woods, seems my poor feathered friends whom I enjoy spoiling & feeding premium seed to, have recently had their food monopolized by the dreaded sky-rat (aka: pigeons!) and down in the S.C. area, they're particularly aggressive.

While researching various protective ways to preserve food for it's intended welcome recipients
(my local Cardinals, Blue Jay's, Chickadees) I discovered Nature Niche's: Oasis Recycled Bird Feeder with Dove Guard.

This has been a Godsend in protecting and preserving the seed for the birds I want to feed, and makes it awfully frustrating and pretty much causing those darn pigeons and mourning doves away from the seed, since their bodies simply can't fit into 2x2" mesh that surrounds & protects the seed.

The Oasis Recycled Bird Feeder with Dove Guard is not only larger than I anticipated, but its VERY WELL MADE & Crafted, easy to fill & clean, and the first one I bought was so impressive, I'm purchasing another so I can offer my local feathered friends two locations in my yard to feed worry free from those dam sky rats!

I would very much recommend the Oasis Recycled Bird Feeder with Dove Guard to protect the little birds while eating, and keeping those annoying sky rats at bay & preventing them from usurping all the bird feed.

Best bird feeder I ever owned! The Cardinals love it. The Doves hate it. What's great about this feeder. There's no perch for the doves to land on except the top. They try to flap their wings to knock the seed out, but they can't
perch. Construction is excellent, easy to fill and the mesh trays are easy to clean. Don't hesitate buy this feeder.. I bought a plastic mount for the bottom so I can mount it on a pole, that is not included.

This is worth getting; I bought as early Christmas gift for my elderly mom who couldn't enjoy her 30+ sparrows and birdwatching because she was too busy chasing all the pigeons in the city away. My mom would never have bought this for herself and I wanted her to sit back and just relax, not have go out that often to fill the feeder in winter. She texted me she loved it and was so excited to try it out on her pole. First day only two birds came to check it out, second day she had 60+ birds and she can't keep them from coming they are eating the food so fast it is gone in half a day from the trays. Customer Service was good, we thought the mesh screen was missing on the one side. Note that you have to open the entire plastic wrapping they put both on one side so both should be in there do not worry like we did.

The dove guard works as advertised, feeder easily pays for it self with the savings in seed. The cardinals are slow to get use to it but everyone else has quickly figured it out.

We love this feeder. No more seed being wasted or smaller birds being bullied by collared doves. We used to have forty doves at a time and now are down to about ten. They feed on the ground and do cleanup. Perfect. It’s easy to fill and clean.

Does exactly as advertised. Cardinals, finches and other song birds feed and white wing and Mexican doves fly around in frustration. Great feeder and my feed bill is down in one week.

Very good feeder for small birds like finches chickadees. It’s fun watching them go swiftly inside out. Keep big birds like Grackles and doves away.

Love this bird feeder! Was buying a lot of bird seed due to dove invasion on our old feeder. Now doves are unable to access the seeds and the little birds are happy! Took a couple of days for the cardinals to “trust” this feeder but now happily use it. Great buy!!

The bird feeder is really nice, well made. It did not take the little birds long to get used to it, unfortunately there has been smaller doves squeeze their way in. Also the smaller starlings, which are very aggressive. I just keep shooing them away.
The removable bottoms are great. The screens do get residue from bird droppings, so it is probably best to buy the cleaner recommended on the site.

I had too many White wing Doves, They were eating me out of house and home all my other birds didn't get much chance to eat because they ate everything up, I found this feeder and was so pleased when it arrived, I works!!!My expense of bird seed and terror is over, Thank goodness!! It is very well made and heavy but not too heavy I can hang it on my shepherds hook!! Very easy to clean and put bird seed in, what a great bird feeder!! Finches, Cardinals, Blue birds, etc. of that size can get in this feeder but bigger birds like white wing doves, blue jays, black birds can not get in this feeder, been saving a lot on bird seed, Very pleased with my purchase and was so glad I found this terror is over!!! I wish they made a smaller version for Peanut suet nuggets only, my smaller birds love those, I already have a suet cake holder but wish they would make a smaller one for the nuggets only, white wing doves eat them too, they bully the other smaller birds for them also!!! So if you want a good sturdy feeder, easy to clean, and put seed in, this feeder is well worth the money to me!!!!

Works like a champ! Local dove population not too happy but they're like vacuum cleaners, eating me out of house and home! I don't use the clear plastic separators so the little guys can hop all the way through. This feeder is worth the money!

I expected the birds to be cautious at first, but they went through the dove guard almost immediately. The large quantity of seed kept them fed the whole week I was away. It was full of snow when I returned, but as long as I'm home to clear it away, it shouldn't be a problem. I love this feeder!

This feeder definitely keeps the doves away! Hooray!! Its taking some of my larger birds like cardinals a while to come to it, but I’m hopeful they will!

Great product very happy with the delivery

Received this feeder yesterday, took it out of box, added seed and hung it. Today the doves are going crazy not being able to get to seed. Little birds and cardinals eating from it. Rather expensive at first but will pay for itself in less seed. Love it.

So far we love this feeder. So nice to not see morning doves scaring the birds away.

Well made. As advertised, keeps doves and most other large birds away. Birds including cardinals and smaller have access. Unfortunately, blue jays hang on corners and reach seed through the sides at the middle, and other birds stay away when jays are around. Am thinking of adding screen between the cage edges.

I love the Oasis Recycled Bird Feeder. It is made very well and sturdy. The cage keeps out the larger birds, like doves and pigeons. And the 2" access holes allow the Love Birds to get in there. All the other caged feeders have 1 1/2" holes which wouldn't accommodate the Love Birds. We have quite a flock of them and that was the main purpose for purchasing this feeder. It is working out quite well. And because it is made from recycled materials made it even more attractive to me.

Oasis Recycled Bird Feeder with Dove Guard

This feeder with a dove guard is extremely well-made. It is quite heavy and large, which is not a problem, but is something I had not anticipated. The sturdiness of it will be helpful in case the bears find it -- it seems close to indestructible. I will take it inside every night once the bears are out of hibernation.

Recently I purchased a bluebird cage feeder to stop a bully robin, who originally would only chase bluebirds but then started chasing everyone off the platform feeder (chickadees, cardinals, titmice, etc). Hoping this solves the problem. It looks promising!

I have been fighting the doves for a couple of years untill i found this feeder. Its not that i don't like the doves but they take over the feeders so smaller birds can't feed. Was concerned that the cardinals could not use this feeder due to the screen but they slowly got use to it. So don't get discouraged if it takes a while for them to start feeding on it. Also this feeder is extremely EASY to clean making it well worth the cost!

I'm really glad i picked this item. It is beautifully designed and built to last. I received it super fast filled it with seed and the birds are enjoying right now.

This feeder is great as it gives the smaller birds protection from the hawks and keeps the birds which are "piggy" from dominating the feeders. I haven't seen the cardinals accessing it as yet but perhaps that will come in time. However, lots more activity by the smaller birds has been noticed now that there is no bullying. Those other more aggressive birds are still in good numbers but on the ground doing the clean up.
