Works even through a NY blizzard!
Very pleased! Not just for ground use!

This Heated Bird Bath is a HIT for the birds! Hot tub open! It's called a Ground Level bird bath, but I plopped the top bath piece into the top of a wire tomato cone cage, which was stuck into a sturdy and heavy ceramic pot. It fit PERFECTLY. I also added a medium sized flat rock in the middle so the birds had something to stand on other the edge. Do not hesitate to buy this item. It's bird approved!

Heated bird bath

I live on Long Island, New York. I started to feed the birds early spring 2020. I also had out a cement bird bath during the summer. Wanting to continue through the winter, knowing our snowy winters purchase the heated bird bath. I couldn’t be happier. Cardinals, woodpeckers, doves, finches, squirrels, hawks, Blue Jays, have come for a drink. Early December we had a snow storm. The heated Bird bath did not get icy. Snow all around it. Looked pretty. Animals kept drinking from it. Very cool

not as advertised

Does a fine job of providing water when the temperature dips into the upper teens, but when the temperature falls below that ice forms around the edges, limiting the ability of small birds reaching the water

Thank you for taking the time to review. We appreciate your feedback. We are glad to hear that your bird bath is working as intended. The icing around the edge during this very cold weather we've been having is expected per the manufacturer's product information:
'Some icing on the surface of the water is normal when temperatures are extremely low, especially if there is a breeze. Your birdbath is not defective if ice begins to form around the rim. '

Worth every penny

I have been using this heated bird bath for 2 years. It has never frozen even in sub zero weather. Snow always melts and the water surface is always open. It is a huge hit with the birds, and me.

Nice Winter Bird Bath

The temps have dropped into the high twenties here in Ohio. The bath gets a little bit icy on the edges but the center stays water and the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks use it.

Ground Level birdbath

This heated birdbath works fine. Got it for the squirrels and rabbits and the chickadees took to it immediately. A great addition to our winter yard.

Great for the worst of winter!

We have three heated birdbaths in our garden and have tried several that are less than adequate. Many do not hold enough volume and are soon depleted, leaving the heated surfaces uncovered by water, shortening its life. This birdbath holds over three quarts of water, almost as much as the one-gallon original ERVA birdbath we got a decade ago that is still going strong!

Birdies are loving it especially with the drought in the northeast!

Ground heated bird water dish

It’s perfect. I purchased it for the birds and smaller mammals, like rabbits or squirrels. It works; plugged it in and the water stays moving. I highly recommend.

Highly Recommend!

The bath is working well and many different species of birds are using it. It is easy to clean and the metal frame provides a sturdy base.

Heated bird bath

Works well. The birds are drinking and taking a bath in it. I bought a connector cover to make sure that moisture would not get in the connection.

Im considering the heated ground level birdbath - do I need to buy the liner that’s offered? What the purpose of the liner and do I need more than one?

Nature Niche

This bird bath comes with the metal ring stand that the heated dish sits in. If you are referring to the replacement inserts in the "frequently bought together" section, no they are not part of this bird bath set up. People will purchase those particular inserts for use in summer. They are not heated.

How deep is the bowl
