The Tank of Bird Feeders

This thing is sturdy! So far it's working exactly as advertised.

After watching a flock of juvenile starlings consume an entire suet cake in a matter of hours while chasing away woodpeckers, I decided it was time for a change. So far this feeder has been working great. Smaller birds can get inside the bars and eat comfortably, while larger birds like starlings and grackles can only peck at the crumbs on the edges, unable to reach the cakes inside the bars. The starling flock in my yard has given up and moved away to better pastures and the smaller birds are happily eating suet.

Thank you for your review! We are very happy to hear the feeder is working as it should, and that your little birds are enjoying their suet!

My Barrier Guard Double Suet Cake Feeder has been up for 14 days now, and I've only seen two birds inside the cage so far. Both of them left soon after entering it and I have the holder filled with the Woodpecker Blend Suet Plus and another cake of C&S Peanut Delight. Perhaps time will tell, but so far there's been little interest.

Thanks for the feedback! It can take around a month for birds to adjust to a new feeder, especially the barrier guarded ones and in the fall when natural food resources are still plentiful. It took my bluebirds several weeks to adjust to and really start using the mealworm version of this feeder, so I do expect you to see increased activity with time! In our experience, the smaller songbirds do appreciate a quiet place to eat protected from European starlings and other larger, more aggressive birds.

Worth The Money!!

This is the 1st 100% starling proof bird feeder I found ever!! Now my suet loving birds don't have to be chased away and intimated by the starlings, grackles and squirrels or any other big bird. ...I need a starling /squirrel proof nut feeder, and blackbird proof niger feeder, any one got any recommendations?
