Golden Safflower Feast Cylinder - Large

This 100% seed cylinder is excellent for squirrel prone areas, as squirrels generally don’t like safflower. These cylinders are preferred by cardinals, grosbeaks and more, while grackles, sparrows, and starlings generally don’t like safflower.
Golden Safflower, also known as NutraSaff, is a safflower hybrid specifically developed for bird feeding to have a thinner hull (40% thinner) and higher levels of oil (15% more), protein (25% more), and fat (30% more) than traditional white safflower. It's easier and healthier for your birds to eat, and studies show that birds prefer it 2 to 1 over traditional safflower! It also tends to deter squirrels, grackles, and starlings with its bitter taste, although some individuals may adapt and eat it with time or in desperation.
Attracts: Cardinals, Jays, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Grosbeaks, Titmice, Doves, Finches (House, Purple), Downy Woodpeckers, and Chipmunks; occasionally House Sparrows
Feeders that work with this size cylinder include:
Classic Seed Log Hanging Feeder
Little Bird Banquet Feeder
Recycled Seed Log Feeder
Truly a better way to feed. Great for year-round bird feeding.
