Treat your favorite feathered friends to a special snack with these hot pepper suet nuggets and keep mammals away at the same time. This ready-to-feed wild bird food has a high-energy suet base.
A blend of ingredients including: Corn, Roasted Peanuts, Rendered Beef Suet, Oats, Pepper (Red), and Soy Oil will lure your birds in while keeping squirrels, chipmunks and other mammals from gobbling it all up.
How Hot Pepper Works:
Birds' pain receptors are different from those of mammals, and they are not triggered by the capsaicin in hot peppers. This product works well deterring mammals most of the time. Rarely, a certain belligerent or desperate individual will decide it doesn't mind the heat and eat the seed anyway.
Hot Pepper Suet Nuggets can be fed alone on a bird platform feeder or Nugget/Peanut feeder. Ideal when mixed with 5-10 lbs. of seed in a traditional feeder.
