Will squirrels destroy my cylinder?
Yes, if they can reach it. You have three options: (1) Choose a hot-pepper cylinder — squirrels feel the burn, birds have no capsaicin receptors and eat it happily. (2) Use a barrier guard or caged feeder that physically blocks access. (3) Mount on a pole with a squirrel baffle, at least 4–4.5 ft off the ground and 8–10 ft from anything they can jump from. Do I need a special feeder?
Every cylinder has a center hole that fits any standard cylinder feeder rod or hanging hook. If you already have a rod-style feeder you're ready to go. Our bundles include a feeder if you need one.
