Larger Squirrels are Capable of Feeding Upside down!

Feeder is well made, but I was really hoping to thwart ALL squirrels. We mostly have the smaller white bellied 'cat' squirrels and this feeder has not (so far) been one they can get to. However, a lone hungry big orange bellied 'fox' squirrel showed up and almost emptied the feeder. Held on with claws under the feeder (with its back toward the ground) and almost completely emptied the feeder of suet! Only left when I walked up to it.

Made nice

Pretty and well made--but not squirrel proof

This is very well made and, honestly, it just looks gorgeous in the yard with its copper toned top. It keeps the starlings and other big birds away from the suet like a champ. And the woodpeckers and smaller birds love it.
Definitely a keeper for me.
But my squirrel family also loves it. They hang one footed from the pole and nibble away.
If I moved it to a tree and could hang it down where no branches were close, I don't think the squirrels could manage--at least not for long. But then I would have to choose between feeding only birds and not being able to watch them or watching both birds and squirrels.
Next year, I think I'll buy a 2nd once to hang from a tree so the birds have a more squirrel proof spot to eat.

Took a while..

Quality product. Grackles found it first. It's funny to see them try to hang on. Mini Woodpecker has now found it and he Loves it! Sorry I do not know the Species, but he is my friend!!

Copper tint upside down suet feeder

First time ordering and found your website to be very user friendly. The shipment seemed to be very efficient as it was on its way the same day. I live on the west coast and it was delivered via ups in a very timely manner. Just received it today and hung it immediately. It’s as beautiful as it looks! Seems to be excellent quality with secure, but yet easy latch for suet.
Nice to be able to accrue shopping points as well.

Got this for my husband and it’s beautiful. Suet blocks fit perfectly and it’s easy to fill it.

Pleasantly Surprised

The best feeder I have found yet to deter squirrels and sparrows, and the chickadees, nuthatches, tufted titmouses, and downy/hairy woodpeckers love it. I can use regular seed cake without hot pepper.
