Mounting a squirrel baffle on your pole prevents squirrels and small raccoons from climbing or jumping up to the bird feeder or house.

This wrap-around, break-apart squirrel baffle works for poles 1/2" to 1" diameter. It also works for 7/16" to 5/8" square poles. Since this baffle is made with galvanized steel, it maintains its attractive appearance for years, and carries an unconditional, lifetime guarantee against defects in material and workmanship.

Dimensions: 17" diameter

Hardware is Included: The mounting collar is as important as the baffle shield itself! An all metal support collar with instructions is included. Ordinary baffles often include substandard and, in some cases, plastic collars. The collar must hold the baffle securely in place. It must not be plastic, as plastic collars can and will be chewed through!

How to Install: To keep squirrels from getting onto your bird feeder, place your pole-mounted feeders 8-10' away from railings, roofs, trees, or other structures. Squirrel baffles should be a minimum of 4' from the ground to protect the bird feeder. To close your baffle, slide the left tab into the right slot until they snap together.

Best squirrel, raccoon and rat guard out there.

Super sturdy and so easy to attach to your pole. We have 1/2 inch poles and it worked perfectly. Thanks to Nature Niche and Erva.

Looks like I've finally stopped squirrels on my bird feeder.

When first installed, still had previous 4x4 feeder post installed around 7' away. Squirrels still got around cone. Removed post form ground and for 3 days now, not one squirrel on my feeder. Lots of feathered friends though!

Thank you for your kind review! Yes, We try to let people know that when setting up new pole systems they need to be at least 10 feet away from anywhere a squirrel can jump from or jump down from. It sounds like with your old pole system down that has solved that particular problem. So glad to hear your birds are happy with the new setup!

Seems to work well. Haven’t seen the squirrel get to the feeder yet!

Bird Feeder Food Protector

Thankful we got it. The squirrels have been determined and persistent. The bird feeder has been moved 6 times with the baffle. The tan squirrel has figured how to stretch around it, but they have slowed down a lot at eating the bird food!

Squirrel baffle

Didn't stop the squirrels!!

Thank you for the feedback. Squirrels are very tough to defeat; they are very determined little critters indeed! The following manufacturer's installation guidelines must be followed for the baffle to work properly:
1) Mount the top of the baffle at least 4' above the ground surface; 4.5' is even better, if possible. Otherwise, the squirrels can jump from the ground around the baffle.
2) Locate the shepherd hook or feeder pole at least 10' from any branch or structure above or lateral launching point like a nearby fence or building. Otherwise, the squirrels will launch themselves from the side to reach your feeder.
Hope this helps!
