Best seed cylinder

I tried other seed cylinders before the safflower one, but they attracted mostly grackles, starlings, and squirrels. The ones with fruit also attracted bees and other insects. The safflower cylinders fixed all that. No grackles, starlings, squirrels, or bugs! But lots of wrens, finches, and woodpeckers! The shells are a bit messy and there’s some sprouting, but you can’t be a bird feeder without any mess at all. I’ll be buying these for a long time.

It keeps the grackles and blackbirds away; however, I've also lost the woodpeckers as they don't seem to like it and I thought they would. Take the bad with the good I guess. Good riddance nuisance birds! My order arrived quickly which was great!

Wonderful item!

A great way to feed finches

the house finches in my neighborhood love the safflower seed cylinder. Their seed-cracking beeks make it easy for them to pry the seeds from the cylinder and to crack them open. Sparrows can't do either task well. Nor can many other backyard birds, leaving the finches to enjoy their treat.
