Attracted birds within an hour

I connected my birdbath to my sprinkler system, so it refills every time the sprinklers go on. Plus I have my solar fountain that recirculates of water and tends to attract more birds.

Pleased with purchase

Birdbath was easy to mount. It’s also easy to clean and fill. Best of all the birds are using it.

This is a great bird bath

This is a great bird bath. It is very hard to find a deck rail bird bath that actually hangs out beyond the deck. This one does, which means that you do not get bird poop on the deck itself!! I already have this bird bath with a clamp attachment which is fine, but this bird bath will get more visitors (squirrels and and occasional raccoons) so I thought it may need a more secure attachment. And the birds love it as well.

Nice design, but birds aren't using it

My wife noticed that there is a slight "springboard effect" in which the installed bath vibrates slightly when touched. We wonder if this can spook birds landing there, because we have seen none in the water. We'll keep the bath up for now, because the design and construction are otherwise very functional and attractive.

Deck rail-mounted bird bath

Great idea to extend your dish away from deck rail. Easy to install. Good quality and fair price. As always!

Great Bird Bath!

We have been looking for a post mounted bird bath like this for YEARS!! I’m so glad I found it! It’s strong, shallow enough I don’t have to put rocks or pebbles in it. I love it

Easy and stable

We installed it on a support post on the front porch. It was easy to install and it is rock solid.

Screw/post mounted bird bath

This bird bath is so nice! I mounted it on a deck post, it is very sturdy, big and stays level. My red squirrels use it and birds love it, especially the chickadees. I want to stress how strong it is because I saw some, while shopping/researching, and reviews said they bent down because of the flimsy bracket and ring. Would highly recommend this!

Bird bath

Excellent. We love this style. Easily mounts to our older deck.
Now we have one on each end with heaters to help our birds during the winter.

Great bird bath

I needed a bird bath that could attach to the fence. Now both the squirrels and the birds have water. It’s easy to clean which is the best part.

Wonderful.

My bird bath has been up for a couple of weeks now. I had purchased this for my Hummingbirds and purchased a solar pump for it. I added a couple of small rocks to go inside so that they cover the pump. The Hummingbirds have not used it as I had hoped, but other birds are using it and the squirrels, so it is getting used. I have it mounted on our wooden fence.

Nobodys usiing it

so i love it but the birds havent touched it. But im still gonna leave it up maybe when its even hotter they will

Thanks for the feedback! It may take some time for the birds to find and begin using a new bath in a new location, if that's the case. I recommend checking the landscape around the bath for things that might be spooking them and deterring their use as well, like a neighbor's cat, predatory hawk, or a moving landscape decoration like a whirligig or wind spinner. Keep putting fresh water in it, and I'm sure you'll see bird activity soon.

HOW do you clean it? Everyone says its easy but is it stationery or can it be completely removed?

Nature Niche

The bird bath dish lifts out of the metal ring so you can clean and refill it easily.

How far apart are the bracket’s screw holes? Will it screw securely to a 4x4 (nominal 3-3/4”) post?

Nature Niche

Yes, it should. The screwholes are 1.5" apart side to side/top and bottom.

What type of surface is the inside of the bowl? I have a solar powered fountain that requires a smooth surface for the suction cups to stick to. They don't stick to the bottom of my other (heated) bird bath. Does this bath bowl have a very smooth surface?

Nature Niche

It’s relatively smooth plastic except for the raised logo in the middle.

would this support a dove or 2 taking a bath if it was screwed into a 2x4 up in the air about 7 feet off the ground

Nature Niche

I don't have any weight/engineering specs to reference, but it comes with 4, 0.75" long wood screws. I would think it could hold a full dish and a couple of doves.
