The popular Oasis feeder is now available with dove guards (2" x 2" openings for cardinals and smaller birds).

This handcrafted feeder is made from recycled plastic that will last a lifetime. This bird feeder features large trays to encourage ground-feeding birds like cardinals to perch and use the feeder too; but the dove guards keep mourning doves and larger birds like pigeons at bay.

nice

it took a while for the birdies to find it, but it does keep the doves away.

The feeder I’ve been looking for!

White winged doves have been an issues for two years. Any dove guard I’d buy, they’d figure out a way around it. Since buying this feeder, doves have disappeared from my yard. They no longer flock to my feeders or the ground below it! I’ll probably buy another to replace my tube feeders since the most persistent doves can still use those.

Very Happy with this Bird Feeder! : )

Admittedly, I am a "birding rookie"!

I was looking for a bird feeder that would prevent the doves from eating all the bird food I was hoping to provide finches, sparrows, and most importantly cardinals.

My first birdfeeder just didn't do the job at all. It was a nice looking feeder and attracted all kinds of birds.....but, I was unaware of how the doves would dominate the perches and prevent the birds I wanted to come because they were crowded out.

I did some research online and found this feeder as a possibility. I asked Martha (owner of Nature's Niche) some questions because I really wanted to make sure cardinals could gain access with the metal guard. She reassured me that this feeder would work for not only cardinals but all the smaller bird.

I have not been disappointed! I have watched the doves struggle to try and figure out how to get the food. An occasional "smart dove" will get some food...but, for the most part (95% of the time) the doves can't figure it out!

This new feeder is saving me money and stress because I was watching the doves eat all the food I was putting in the previous feeder.

Overall, I think this is an EXCELLENT feeder for those who want to attract certain birds but keep the dreaded doves out!

ps I am continuing to put food in the other feeder and on the ground for the doves......so, no one is starving! : )

The dove guard works as advertised, feeder easily pays for it self with the savings in seed. The cardinals are slow to get use to it but everyone else has quickly figured it out.

May be my favorite feeder

I originally hung this feeder farther away from the house and the 1st or 2nd day I saw a Cardinal in it. Now it is winter, and I brought the feeder up closer to the house. I am retired so I go out to my feeders every day (sometimes twice) to put in seed. I took out the 2 plexi walls that most would use to put the seed in hopper style. I sprinkle seed on the floor of both sides of this feeder only having to lift one side of the roof each time I put seed in. This morning it was in the low 20's in east Texas and this feeder must have had 10-15 or more little birds in it (finches, titmouse, chickadees.) I have seen eastern bluebirds in this feeder as well. It's also common when the feeder is not experiencing a rush hour, to see a house finch inside resting. Larger birds can hang on the side and stick their beaks in for a few bites but I try to give them cheaper easier food to eat elsewhere, and they no longer bother. This feeder is easy to clean and the drainage in the floor helps when it is left out in a rain. The only downside is that this feeder is a heavier feeder but that also means it doesn't blow as easily in the wind and it is more stable. I am happy with this purchase and if I get to a point where I need another feeder, this one would be my first choice.
