Reptiles and amphibians have long captured the curiosity of nature lovers, from the intricate patterns of a rattlesnake’s scales to the bright colors of a red salamander’s skin.
The Reptiles & Amphibians Playing Cards showcase this extraordinary diversity through the colored-pencil artwork of illustrator and naturalist Mel Bryant. Each card features a different North American species—meticulously rendered to highlight distinctive patterns, colors, and textures. From turtles and lizards to snakes and frogs, Mel’s detailed illustrations reveal the beauty and complexity of the often-misunderstood creatures.
The artwork encourages players to look closer and appreciate the vital role reptiles and amphibians play in ecosystems everywhere. Designed for nature enthusiasts, art lovers, and collectors alike, this deck combines functionality with fine art.
Players can learn to identify species by name and appearance—using the deck as a fun educational tool or as a set of nature-themed flash cards. The Reptiles & Amphibians Playing Cards are perfect for family game nights, classroom use, or simply to enjoy as a miniature gallery of herp illustrations. Elegant yet durable, the deck makes a thoughtful gift for anyone fascinated by the living world.
