May 2026 Native Plant Sale - Spring Into Stewardship!

Welcome to the information page for the first of two native plant sales scheduled for the 2026 growing season! Let's spring into stewardship and be habitat heroes by providing pollinators and other wildlife with the native plants they need to thrive!

We are very excited to kick off our seventh year of native plant sales on Friday May 15th through Saturday May 23rd. We will not be open Sunday May 17th. Hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm.

Selected especially for the Midland area, the sale will feature 130+ species of native wildflowers, grasses, ferns, shrubs, and trees that provide quality habitat for our native pollinators, birds, and other wildlife species. These native plants are of Michigan or Great Lakes Region genotype and were procured through Wildtype Native Plant Nursery in Mason, Michigan. The table linked below outlines the species we plan to offer and where best to plant them. Printed copies are available in-store. Please stop by to pick up a list to help you plan prior to the plant sale. 

Native plants provide better wildlife habitat and make a greater visual impact when planted in multiples. We will again be offering a 5% discount when purchasing 6 or more plants! While we don't publish a price list, this year 2" pots are $4.80, 2.5" pots are $6.85, specialty quarts and rare 2.5" pots are $16.25, rare quarts are $21.25, fern 2.5" pots are $9.25, fern 1 gallons are $28.95, 1 gallon woody plants range from $23.95 - $38.95, and 7 gallon trees are $123.00. If you need species-specific pricing, please give us a call ahead of the sale.

Please note that we do sell out of species on the first day of the sale. If you know specifically what you want and can't make it the first day or don't want to shop in a crowd, please call the store during business hours on the opening day of the sale to place your order over the phone--we will pull and set aside for you. 

The sale will occur at our retail location at 2004 W. Wackerly St. Midland, MI and will be held outside along the east side of our building. Bring your native plant questions, and we'll have native plant and pollinator enthusiasts ready to assist you with choosing the right plants for your landscape.
