Spring Yard Cleanup: Save the Stems Video

Mondays with Martha #201 - Spring Yard Cleanup: Save the Stems

Happy Easter and Happy National Native Plant Month! This week I continue the spring landscape project theme and discuss why it's so important to save the stems of your standing dead plants to serve as nesting and overwintering habitat for our native pollinators and other beneficial insects. Learn how best to cut the stems you're saving for our tunnel nesting bees and what native plants in our region offer soft pith and/or hollow stems for critical nesting sites.
