This week I visit a vernal pool with Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) Interpretive Naturalist and Midland County Vernal Pool Patrol Coordinator, Lindsey Harrell, to hear about an awesome classroom- and field-based volunteer training opportunity on April 13-14, 2024. This upcoming event is a great way to gain hands-on experience monitoring vernal pools and apply new skills to your own property or join a team doing citizen science on local nature center and conservancy lands!
