Mondays with Martha #180 - Autumn-Olive Management

This week I discuss several ways homeowners can approach invasive autumn-olive (Elaeagnus umbellata) management on their properties, including hand pulling, foliar herbicide application, cut stump treatment, and hack-and-squirt methodologies and the associated timing, tools, personal protective equipment, and ecological and regulatory considerations. These techniques can be used in combination to successfully control autumn-olive and many other woody invasive species.
