Aster Comparison at Tomlinson Arboretum Prairie Video

Mondays with Martha #176 - Aster Comparison at Tomlinson Arboretum Prairie

This week I'm back at the Tomlinson Arboretum in Clinton Township, Michigan, where we compare and contrast some fun fall blooming aster species: hairy/frost aster (Symphyotrichum pilosum) vs. heath aster (S. ericoides and smooth blue aster (S. laeve) vs. New England aster (S. novae-angliae). I hope you enjoy these late blooming beauties and consider adding them to your own landscape! Special thanks to my friend and ecologist extraordinaire, Steve Thomas, for sharing his botanical knowledge and amusing analogies!
