Mondays with Martha #167 - Wolf Trees

Have you ever spotted a giant tree in the woods that you suspected of being an Ent? Wondering how they came to be so much larger than their companion trees? This week I discuss not-so-aptly named wolf trees and describe how these charismatic giants became established. These elders of the forest serve as keystone structures, supporting immense biodiversity in our forested ecosystems. Special thanks to Sherry and Chef Tim, owners of the Vintage Inn at Veritas Estate, for allowing me to share their beloved Oakbeard with my Nature Niche viewers!
