Mondays with Martha #194 - Feeding Birds: Native Plants for Finches, Goldfinches & Other Seed Eaters

Building on last week's post about how to find the plant species that are native to your home place, I discuss groups of plants from herbaceous groundcover to shrubs and trees that play an important role in naturally feeding our wild birds. If you don't deadhead your flowers, you can grow your own bird seed and watch the finches, goldfinches, and other seed eaters flock to your yard. Let me help you conserve and purposefully plant species with great seed and nut resources for your wild birds! Special thanks to Tracy Anderson and Stan Lilley for letting me share their seed eating action shots!
