This week I share another favorite spring woodland wildflower, wild geranium (Geranium maculatum). This species provides important early season pollinator support and looks beautiful planted with other shade-loving plants. Its tolerance to a range of light and soil conditions makes it a great species to try if you are just getting started with native plant landscaping.
This Memorial Day post is dedicated to my grandfather, Conrad Yocum, in honor of his life and love of plants, as well as his service to this country in World War II.
