Feeder Fresh Nectar Defender is an all-natural product that protects the freshness of hummingbird nectar and stops spoilage. It is bird-safe and works by using a micro-nutrient naturally consumed by hummingbirds in their diet of nectar and insects.

Feeder Fresh Nectar Defender will protect your nectar for up to 2 weeks, and hummingbirds will enjoy fresh nectar every time they visit your feeder. Simply add a small amount to your current nectar per the label directions.

One 4 oz. bottle may last an entire season, depending on the size of the hummingbird population being fed. Contains no artificial preservatives or dyes. Once you try Feeder Fresh Nectar Defender, you will never want to feed hummingbirds without it. 

For the safety of the hummingbirds we encourage everyone using a nectar feeder to visually monitor their feeders daily.  If the nectar is cloudy, be sure to dump, disinfect, and refill your feeder. To maintain a healthy feeder, we recommend cleaning it at least once every 2 weeks, or more often if not using Nectar Defender.

We have our feeder at our lake house and sometimes are not there for a day or two when it is emptied. Even in extremely humid weather, there is VERY LITTLE (if any) build-up of schmutz. Makes the whole process of enjoying our winged visitors that much more enjoyable

This is my first time using this product. Wasn't sure if it would work. We haven't had any really warm weather as of yet so I can't say if it stops it from getting cloudy when it does get hot, but so far my hummingbird feeders food stay clear.

I've been using this product for the past 3 weeks and am happy to say that it does what it says it will. It keeps the nectar fresh much longer than just nectar alone. With three hummingbird feeders and an Oriole feeder it's nice to not have to change out the nectar every few days.

Good Success With This Product

Local bird supply store turned me on to Nectar Defender when we got interested in Hummingbirds. I thought it was an up-sell but gave it a try anyway. Definitely notice a difference in how the birds are feeding. As hard as I try to be diligent and change the nectar frequently when the temps start to soar, sometimes my schedule doesn’t permit it. The Nectar Defender keeps my feeders appealing to the hummingbirds much longer than plain nectar. Our store lost its lease and had to close, so we turned to Nature Niche online to purchase. Prices are fair and I had the product before I was expecting it. Very happy with both the product and the service.
