Pieces are typically created “2 for 1,” which results in mirror images with one brighter color and the other a darker or “saddened” color. Tannin-rich leaves are placed on one piece of fabric; it is then covered with another piece of fabric the same size that has been dipped in an iron-water solution. This fabric sandwich is then rolled on a wooden dowel rod, wrapped tightly with an ace bandage, and then steamed for\u003cbr\u003e2-3 hours.
