My platform measures 10x10 with a different hanging design, so this wasn't going to work. But I trimmed off a row of the squares (each is 2x2), to make it 10x10, which also allowed my hanging design to (mostly) work, and now the cage is great. The doves have tried but can't get perched anywhere, so they are back to feeding on the ground. The songbirds like it, and after awhile the cardinals figured it out, so I am very happy with this dove guard. (Bluejays and grackles can perch and snag some food, but once I switched to all safflower seeds, they lost interest) So this does the trick, and I'm sure it's even better with its intended feeder!
