This Thistle Feeder is perfect for attracting your favorite backyard birds with nyjer seed and other small-seeded finch mixes. The brushed copper finish is beautiful and weatherproof, while the stainless steel screen keeps the seed accessible and fast drying. Finches cling to any open spot on the screen, and a dozen birds can feed at once!  Attract goldfinches, siskins, redpolls, and purple and house finches.

Best of all, the 4.5-pound capacity means you can keep your feathered friends well-fed for days on end. The screen allows you to see the seed level at all times. It's easy to fill and clean this feeder by sliding the metal roof up the included hanger, which is a metal hanging cable with eyelet. Drainage holes in the bottom tray help keep the seed fresh and dry.

Bring home a Coppertop Thistle Feeder today and enjoy watching the birds flock to your yard!

Approximately 15" tall by 11" wide.

Very attractive feeder...

This feeder is much much larger than I realized, it holds a huge amount of nyjer seed, hope that doesn't mean lots will go to waste ?!?

Thank you for your feedback! You could try filling only partway and seeing how fast your backyard birds go through it, especially for the summer months when other natural food resources are plentiful. I would shake the seed in the feeder every day or so, to break up clumps and help keep the seed draining and dry. I wouldn't leave seed in there more than a week to week and a half, as it will go stale. If you expect a period of wet weather and/or see mold forming, it's best to discard seed, thoroughly disinfect the feeder, and consider using a bird-safe drying agent like this Feeder Fresh product:
Hope this helps!
