Squirrel Proof II Spring Device (Slinky)
Keeps squirrels on the ground and your bird feeder squirrel free (at least when battling squirrels of average intelligence)! Hang on 6' or taller shepherds hooks or poles up to 1 inch in diameter. The Squirrel Proof II Spring Device is compatible with single- or multi-hook poles. It wraps around the pole instead of slipping over the top. It secures in the same fashion as the Squirrel Proof I Spring Device.
Length expands up to 48". Install such that it will not extend all the way to the ground. Attach to the highest portion of the hook/pole and shorten, as needed, by using a cable tie at the top end to keep several spirals held together. Squirrels can jump 43” to 48” high, so to be most effective, the lowest portion of the spring should be at least 36” above the ground.
