The end of Finch feeders demolished by squirrels is here! The Squirrel Buster Finch is a 1.4 quart bird feeder designed especially for Nyjer® seed, the seed of choice for finches. This feeder is truly squirrel proof, has 4 clinging ports and 4 perching ports, and features the patented seed ventilation system that keeps seed fresher. The Finch dismantles easily for cleaning and all components are 100% recyclable. The proven seed saving technology makes the Squirrel Buster Finch the answer to your squirrel problems.

Here are some things to check/implement with your Squirrel Buster Finch Feeder to make it truly squirrel-proof for adult red and gray squirrels (please note that juvenile red squirrels and chipmunks can sometimes access seed due to their light weight):

1) Observe the manufacturer's stated installation clearances, e.g. install the feeder with 18" of clearance between top of feeder and the branch it is hanging on, 18" of clearance from launching points below the feeder, and 18" radius of clearance around the sides of the feeder;

2) Don't exceed the maximum level of seed as indicated by the bottom of the yellow center post cap, otherwise the shroud will not be able to close properly;

3) Make sure the negative grip tube is in place on the hanging wire right against the top of the feeder to prevent squirrels from hanging by their hind legs from the wire.

Love my Squirrel busters

This is my second Squirrel buster. I have had my first one for at least 10 years. When my perch feel off I called the company to buy a new perch. It was getting old at that point. They mailed me a new one free of charge. My Finch Squirrel Buster seems to have finch on it all day. I watched a squirrel hanging on the feeder. He eventually got frustrated and left. They may be a little more expensive but the squirrels can't destroy them and they seem to last forever. Well worth the extra money!

Squirrels win

Not sure how but my wily squirrels have figured out how to jump from feet away and hang upside down to feed.
